As part of the refurbishment of Guy's Hospital, Rebecca Salter was appointed to create work for the new Haematology Unit. The artwork comprises a series of abstract images, suggestive of a bamboo forest, which were screen printed onto areas of glazing around the unit. These include large areas of window glazing, interior partitions and door glazing. The artwork creates visual interest, retains natural light, yet also provides practical privacy screening for the benefit of both patients and staff.
This commission was curated and managed by Modus Operandi, as part of the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity’s Art Programme.
