Modus Operandi carried out a review of the principle and practice of the Percent for Art on behalf of Arts Council England, London. The resultant document - Reviewing the Case for Percent for Art - researched former and current applications of this funding mechanism, evaluating the advantages and disadvantages it presents. Informed by national and international case studies, the report's recommendations include the application of Percent for Art in the UK to selected capital schemes, both public and private sector. It highlights the need to establish firm baseline budgets for art, and has been a source of reference for projects as diverse as the Olympic Park and Kings Cross. A pilot project monitored by a review group is recommended. The report is available online at publicartonline.org.uk.
